Girls, why would you act like this?

Ok so there is a girl I have had a crush on for almost my whole life. Well the past few months now we have been getting close. People say she likes me, including my best friend who is one of her best friends, another friend of hers says she loved me. Everyone says we make a great couple. Well I only see her really on the weekends. When I do see her, just some of the things obviously states that she likes me. She will go out of her way to hug/talk to me. She always looks at me, smiles, and laughs at all my jokes. I went with her to her moms house last Friday and on the ride, she always was looking at me smiling and twirling her hair. While at her mom's house, she was always standing next to me and whispering things to me. Well about a month ago I told her I really liked her and asked if she wanted to take things to the next level. She still talked to me, but didn't answer me until about a week later saying she would date me, but doesn't want a relationship right now. We still talk, but here recently it has been bothering me. It is like she and I don't talk until the weekend. Why is she seeming to ignore me during the week? Does she just want to be friends? When I say I am coming down, she is the first to text me and ask when etc. Please help
