Whats the average score for highschool golfers.?

Most high school golf meets are played after school during the week and are nine hole stroke play events. This adds a little pressure as you don't have the back nine to make up for early mistakes. I watch the kids that play at my course who are in a pretty competitive conference. The varsity players will shoot 38 or 39 for nine holes. The best players in the state tournament (Illinois) are around par. If you are shooting mid eighties you should make it, but you need a more positive attitude. Go from "I don't know if I'm good enough" to "I know I can beat everyone else if I play my best".
