Would You Recommend Me To Get The Direct Loan Subsidized?

Its offering me 3,500,00. Should I get it. I would have to pay it back. But, i will use this money for my freshman year. What do you recommended should I get it. Or should I pay out of pocket? It's 483.80 I would pay per quarter what do you suggest? Please.. Thanks
