What to do about this weird situation? (A bit long but please bear with me...I need help)?

Ok, I'm with my boyfriend for about 6 months now. He had a 4.5 years relationship before we got together, which he ended because he was sick of her bad attitude. I recently discovered that his parents are constantly giving him small info (very discreetly and subtly, but obvious) in their Emails to him, about his ex, where she is, if she's moved, etc. Their breakup was a bad one, so they are not on speaking terms and he doesn't want to have any contact with her. However, his parents keep throwing hints about her in all their Emails to him, and even constantly asking him to contact her and talk to her, when he is clear to me and them he has no interest in doing that. I don't understand them and I think this is very unfair to me, especially since it's been done behind my back. I don't know how to handle this situation without offending / hurting anyone but it's really making me upset and angry. Any suggestions are welcomed...thank you.
